Jackson może poszczycić się trwałym wkładem w budowanie dziedzictwa kulturowego USA. Jedyny teledysk jaki znalazł sie w Bibliotece Kongresu należy właśnie do niego. Kultowy „Thriller ” w reżyserii Johna Landisa, na trwałe zmienił pojęcie teledysku.
